2027 Chrmebook Program
All students in Years 4,5 & 6 are required to havea chromebook for use as part of their learning program at Vale Park Primary School.
Chromebooks are an integral part of the classroom learning and are used across a range of curriculum areas and online learning activities. Students are also able to take their Chromebook home to complete homework and other learnng activities as required.
Purchasing a Chromebook
Parents and caregivers can purchase a Chromebook through the Vale Park Primary School BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Portal.
The portal provides information about the recommended devices and purchasing options available for 2027.
Parents and caregivers who choose to purchase a Chromebook independently from retailers such as Officeworks or Harvey Norman are asked to ensure that they purchase a specified Chromebook model that meets the school's technical requirements.
This ensures the device is compatible with our network, software and learning systems.

School Licensing and Insurance
Devices purchased independently must meet the school's specified requirements and must have appropriate insurance coverage.
An additional $55 school licensing fee applies to privately purchased devices. The school will issue an invoice for this fee.
Important Information - Table Devices
Please do not purchase a tablet-style Chromebook or tablet device for your child's school use.
Some tablet models do not have a headphone jack, which is required for NAPLAN and other online assessments undertaken by students. These devices may also be unable to have the rquired school licence applied.
We strongly recommend checking the device specifications before purchasing to ensure the Chromebook meets the school's requirements.
